a very simple, easy and delicious blood orange sorbet that you will absolutely fall in love with. sweet, tart, smooth, and perfect for a hot summer day. add it into a glass of champagne for brunch or just enjoy a bowl of it topped with some fresh berries!
you don’t even have to make it blood orange. you can easily swap it out for orange, lemon or lime! this recipe is really easy and basic and you can use any kind of juice you want to make your own fruity sorbet.
blood orange sorbet
makes 1/2 quart
2 cup blood orange juice
1 tbsp blood orange zest
1/2 cup water
1 cup granulated sugar
place all of the ingredients into a small pot and place over medium-high heat. heat until the sugar is dissolved and then let cool. once cool, place into your ice cream maker using the manufacturers instructions. put the sorbet into a freezable container and freeze until solid.
